Early Life

Mr. Srinivasan completed his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Madras University in 1960. Between 1960-1967, he worked as an Engineer at various organizations like Nevyeli Lignite Corporation (NLC), Tamil Nadu, Oerlikon Engineering Co. Ltd, Zurich, Switzerland, and Hackbridge-Hewittic Eason Ltd, Tamil Nadu.

Engineer to Entrepreneur

With a vision to develop import substitutes, he founded PS Industrials, in 1967. Under his leadership, PS Industrials indigenouslymanufactured import substitutes for products that were being imported from UK and Japan, for BHEL, Trichy.

Between 1979 and 1981, Mr. Srinivasan established PS Electricals (P) Ltd.(High Voltage Electrical Equipment), PS Power Controls (Trapped Key Interlocking Safety Systems ), and PSPC Exports (P) Ltd. (dedicated export house of the group).

Past Board Memberships, Honours and Achievements

• Co-opted member in the advisory committee of ISI for drafting of standards for Reactors.
• Elected member of the executive committee of CII, representing small scale industries in the southern region.
• Senior Vice President of ITMA.
• Awarded as the Outstanding Technical Small Industry by Federation of Small Scale Industries.
• Presented Technical Papers in the G77 Technology Conference held in Delhi.
• Presented Technical Papers on Dry Type Transformers and Large Reactors in many forums.
• Established Industry-Institute co-operation with IIT, Chennai.
• Awarded Certificate of Merit for Exporters by EEPC.

Giving Back to the Society

Mr. Srinivasan is a noted philanthropist, contributing to various causes over four decades. He is the Founder Trustee of Child Trust Hospital. He is also a Patron member of Kalarasana, promoting traditional fine arts.
He continues to guide the PS Group in the capacity of Chairman.

Mrs. Vidhya Sriram has more than 25 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and Management. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Anna University, and a Diploma in Senior Management Programme from IIM, Calcutta.

She holds the proud record of being the first Lady President of the Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. During her tenure, she was involved in several co-curricular and extracurricular programmes.

Like Mr.Srinivasan, Mrs. Sriram is atechnocrat by passion and a hands-on engineer. Her journey with PS group began as an Electrical Design Engineer. She is credited for many innovative designs for special high voltage equipment like Special Earthing Transformers and High Voltage Reactors for special applications. Being adept at handling projects across the globe, she has travelled widely to meet and partner with clients in USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, etc., and is focused on making the PSPC brand of Trapped Key Interlocks a world renowned brand.

B. VENKATESAN

Manager - Works

Mr. Venkatesan joined the Group in 1986 and his innate leadership qualities has helped him to grow with PSPC. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Venkatesan has a sound knowledge of Trapped Key Interlocking Systems and of Manufacturing Practices. With 34 years of experience in the Group and in Trapped Key Interlocking, he has been instrumental in developing and expanding our product range.

R.ARAVAMUDHAN

Manager - Purchase and Logistics

Mr. Aravamudhan has been with the PS Group for over 36 years and is known for his integrity and accuracy. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and he manages the Procurement and Logistics division, along with all the administrative responsibilities. It is to his credit that Lean Manufacturing and Just-In-Time Inventory are a functionalpractice in PSPC.

S.MANI

Mr. Mani holds a Diploma Electrical Engineering. He has been with the Group for over 17 years. He handles Marketing and Design, Drawing and Documentation.

G.MURALI

Mr. Murali holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts. He has been with the Group for over 18 years. He handles Accounts and Payroll.
